Preparations for leaving

Wow I can't believe I'm actually leaving in a week. This trip has seemed like a distant prospect for something in the future for such a long time, it's surreal that I'm actually having to say goodbye to some people already.

For those of you who I still haven't really told what I'm doing for the summer, I'm going to Cochabamba, Bolivia to do an internship at a place called el Centro de Documentacion e Informacion Bolivia, or CEDIB for short. It's basically a library or a resource center where they provide political information for the members of the community who otherwise would have no way of learning about, for example, new government laws that affect them. Anyways, I'm not really sure about all the details, I'll let you know more when I figure it out. If anyone is interested and speaks a little bit of Spanish, you can visit the CEDIB website.

So I'm officially leaving next Thursday, May 31st, and getting back August 26th. Hopefully I'll be alive, well, all in one piece and not diseased, but I hear these things happen.

Well, I should probably be off to pack or something like that. To everyone: have a good summer, and I'll try to keep you updated!

Cheers!

I love you Ali! You have a good time and come home safe. Don't forget your tooth brush and camera! I miss you already.

Love your blog. Waiting for the next episode. When we were in Mexico we gave the dogs gummy bears - when we left they were still chewing.
Check out the music - I'm interested in what they have.
Hasta luego
